Adeline Lucille Ramos

Adeline Lucille (Foster) Ramos of East Providence, RI passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Paul and Juanita Foster. Adeline was raised by her grandparents, Abraham and Helen Compton. She was a loving wife to the late Robert J. Ramos, sister to the late Juanita Mincey and Aunt to the late Juanita (Candy) Mincey. She is survived by her daughters Roberta Osemwota, Alise Ramos, her son Keith Ramos and his wife Gail and nephew Daryl Mincey. She was the loving and proud grandmother to Tiffiany and her husband Tony, Uwabo, Robert and his wife Cassie, Steven, Sean and his wife Chelsea, the late Osaze, Dupe and her husband Casey and Marina. She adored her great-grandchildren Emele, Wynorah, and Sebastian. 

Adeline was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She learned about community, church and helping others at a very early age from her grandmother Mary Compton. Adeline worked as a Nursing Attendant at Chapin Hospital and IMH for over 25 years.

She later volunteered at Women and Infants and worked part time at the Hope Settlement Community House. She loved cooking and feeding family or anyone who wanted a “plate.” Adeline had a wonderful sense of humor and was always there for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and loved.
