Andrew “Digger” Foreman was born to the late Ada L. (Taylor) Foreman and James Foreman on December 7th, 1957. Andrew departed this earthly life on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle with health issues.
Andrew was an affectionate, dedicated, loving family man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Andrew was an amazing man who lived an extraordinary life. Andrew generously spread joy and rays of sunshine into the lives of everyone who knew him. Andrew made a home and life with his wife Reneitia whom he had been married to for the past 16 years but celebrated 50-plus years of courtship.
Andrew would have celebrated 16 years of sobriety this year. If you were looking for Andrew, he could be found at one of two places besides home, McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts on Broad Street. Andrew could be found there playing chess with any one of his brothers or a perfect stranger. Andrew would hang out for hours at the pawn shop where he was always in the market for jewelry and music (speakers, subwoofers) for his car.
In the summer you could hear him blasting his music a mile away. Andrew loved his grandchildren, and it was evident in many pictures where he did not shy away from playing musical chairs, tag, or face painting. Andrew was all in for his grandchildren. Andrew’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife and companion of 51-plus years Reneitia Foreman of Providence, RI. Also to mourn his passing are their children Rashaad Daily of Fredericksburg, VA, Hassan Johnson, Andrew Watts Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Leah (Johnson) Wright, Brittne Johnson, Whitney Johnson, and Dezhanette Johnson all of Providence RI. 2 brothers, John B Forman and Roland Foreman of Providence, RI, 1 sister Loretta Campagna and brother-in-law Michael Campagna, of North Providence, RI, 20 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Andrew leaves behind friends who were like brothers and their friendship spanned 30-plus years: Joseph Perry, Juan Wilson, Bryon Mitchell, Emmanuel Jackson, Corey Snead, Donald Perry, Bradley Dawkins, James Mitchell, and Derrick Garcia.
Andrew is preceded in death by his brother the late Khalil Aljammi, brothers-in-law, Eugene Johnson, Shom Johnson, Ell Johnson, sisters-in-law Shirline Watts, Renee Johnson, and Lynnette Johnson.
