Bruce Wayne Monroe, 65, of Providence, died Friday, August 1, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was the companion of Janice Flynn. Bruce was a son of the late Marjorie (Fayerweather) Robertson and Stepson of the late Robert Junior Robertson. And grandson of the late Margaret Fayerweather.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, his twin Linda Monroe, of West Haven, Conn.; Terry Monroe of Seekonk, Mass., Robin Love of Stone Mountain, Ga.; Jeff Monroe of Pawtucket; Thayer Monroe of Providence; Nina Robertson of Providence; Lisa Robertson of Cranston; and Michael Robertson of Fall River, Mass. He was the brother of the late Steven Monroe, Nancy Monroe, and April Monroe.
He is also survived by children that he raised as his own; Tracey Fulton of Monroeville, Ohio; David Bourk of Barrington; Tanya Bourk of Fall River, Mass.; Hollie Bourk of Woonsocket; Adam Bourk of Naples, Fla.; Kristina Bourk of New Mexico; Noah Bourk of Cape Coral, Fla.; Bethany Bourk of Cape Coral, Fla.; Nathan Bourk of Providence; Naomi DaRosa of Cape Coral, Fla., And Aleeah Ahmed of Pawtucket; 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 8 from 6 to 9 pm at the Darlington Mortuary, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. A repass will be held Saturday, August 9 from 1 to 5 pm at the Ariel Cruz Arts Center, 249 Main St., Pawtucket, RI.
