Camille G. Volpi, lovingly known to her family as “Mama”, sadly passed away at her home on October 9, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on September 9, 1950, in Providence, RI and raised there by her parents, Samuel and Gloria Calabro.
Camille was a beautiful, smart, independent woman who always put her family first. She worked her way through college while raising her children, and after earning her degree, worked for thirty (30) years as a respiratory therapist at Miriam Hospital. She worked nights so that she could be a mother and the matriarch to her family during the day. She was the embodiment of strength and love and the driving force of her family.
Camille dedicated her life to her family. The loss of her unconditional love and guidance is deeply felt.
Camille was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her children: Janine, Sherry, Christine, Melissa, Timothy, and Alyssa as well as her eleven grandchildren: Robert, Amanda, Samantha, Joseph, Breana, Jorden, Faith, Olivia, Timothy, Mya, and Dominic, eight great grandchildren, her brother Steven and her sister Ginger.
Camille was truly the heart and soul of her family. She will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at Darlington Mortuary, 1042 Newport Ave. Pawtucket RI 02861 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by 1:30 PM burial services at St. Ann’s Cemetery, 73 Church Street, Cranston RI 02920.
