Claire T. Davis

Claire Therese (Demeule) Davis, 90, died peacefully on December 14, 2022 at Linn Health &
Rehabilitation Center in East Providence, Rhode Island. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on
September 22, 1932 and residing there and Nantucket, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of
the late Louis and Clara (Langevin) Demeule. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years,
Joseph F. Davis of Nantucket, Massachusetts.
She was a 1951 Graduate of St. Jean-Baptiste Academie in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where she
took Commercial Courses.
She worked on Nantucket at the Nantucket Cottage Hospital for several years as a bookkeeper
and also owned her own dress shop on Hummock Pond Road.
Claire is survived by her Sister-in-law, Janice M. Davis and several loving nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Claire would know she was an avid sports fan. She loved her Patriots, and most
times one would find her watching football all weekend long. Claire was a smart, funny, and
caring women who had a brilliant mind for numbers.
Claire’s family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Winslow Gardens and Linn Health
& Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and friendship.

Claire will be laid to rest at a future date with her parents at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett
Ave, Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02861.
