Geneva Harbison Williams was born in Morganton, NC to Gaither and Cora Harbison on March 29, 1938, and entered into eternal rest January 6, 2026, at 9AM at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI due to declining health.
Geneva grew up and attended public School in Morganton, NC and later relocated to Providence, RI in 1975 making a home with her husband the late Samuel Leon Williams, Sr and 7 of their 8 children where she remained until the time of her death.
Geneva loved life and she enjoyed planting flowers, spending time with her daughter Loretta and son-n-law Johnny in Manchester, NH and she traveled frequently to her hometown in Morganton, NC visiting her other daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was proceeded in death by her late husband Samuel Leon Williams, Sr of Providence a son Stevie Lee Williams of Providence, two daughters Debra Lynn Turner of Atlanta and Belinda Renee Williams of Providence, and one great-great granddaughter Jezahry Gonzalez of Providence. 6 brothers William Harbison of Philadelphia, PA, Herbert and Robert Harbison, Walter Harbison of Morganton, NC, Wilson Harbison of Hickory, NC and Melvin Harbison of Valdese, NC. Three sisters Lucille Moody of Atlantic City, NJ, Julia Harbison of Morganton, NC and Annie Harbison.
She is survived by her loving children Margaret Green and Sarah Hamilton of Morganton, Samuel Leon Williams, Jr of Boston, MA, Gloria Rutherford (Ronnie) of Pittsboro, NC and Loretta Davis (Johnny) of Manchester, NH Geneva was Blessed with 10 Grandkids, 24 Great grandkids, 2 great-great grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
