James Wilfred Ousley, Sr. also known as “Shamus”, 59, of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away at home unexpectedly on December 28, 2024. He was the loving husband of Michele (Campagnone) Ousley for 43 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of Rose D. Ousley of Pawtucket and the late James G. Ousley.
Shamus was a local trucker driver for many years until his retirement eleven years ago. He then moved to Florida where he resided for the past seven years. He loved the Miami Dolphins, Family, Friends, camping with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and watching Ghost Hunters. Shamus served as Sons Commander of the AMVETS Post 81, North Fort Myers, FL.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his loving children: James Wilfred Ousley, Jr. of Pawtucket, Zachary W. Ousley of North Providence, Natalia P. Ousley of North Fort Myers, FL. He was the father of the late Jesse L. Ousley. Cherished grandfather of Harley. Cherished brother of Sandra Ousley of South Carolina, Edward Velzis & his wife Diane of Pawtucket, Richard Velzis of Pawtucket, and the late Linda Velzis, Ronald Velzis & Kenneth Velzis. He also leaves his loving nieces & nephews.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from the hours of 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the DARLINGTON MORTUARY of L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. Burial will be private.
