Mary Lynn Venneman Obituary

Mary Lynn Venneman, 79, of Pawtucket, died peacefully on September 1, 2023 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald G. Venneman and former wife of the late John J. Conneally.  Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Tobin and Elizabeth (Rock) Tobin.

Lynn was an accountant with Pawtucket Mutual Insurance Company for 33 years until her retirement. 

A talented violinist, Lynn received a scholarship to St Xavier’s High School and was the concertmistress for the Rhode Island Jr. Philharmonic.  She continued to play the violin with various orchestras for years. 

She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 312 where she served as a treasurer and hosted card games. 

She leaves her loving sons, John F. Conneally & his wife Dawn, Sean P. McKnight (the late Andrew McKnight) and stepson, Todd Venneman & his wife Christa.  Cherished grandmother of Brooke V. Conneally and John J. Conneally.  She was the sister of Patricia Benoit & her husband Ron, Ted Tobin & his wife Jean, and sister-in-law of Patricia A. Brady & her husband Philip.  She also leaves many nieces & nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:45 A.M. from THE DARLINGTON MORTUARY of L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. in St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.  Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
