Meronica "Ronn'e" D. Babbitt-Beatty

Meronica “Ronn’e” D. Babbitt-Beatty, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital at the age of 69.

A retiree from Women & Infants Hospital. Born on October 8, 1955, in Providence, Rhode Island. Meronica was the eldest child of the late Charlie and Maring Babbitt Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Levon Beatty, with whom she shared 44 blessed years. 

She is also survived by her two children, Nioka T. Babbitt and Gary L. Babbitt. Grandchildren: Antonio Robinson, DeAndre Babbitt, Adrianna Robinson, and Ilana Babbitt Great-grandchildren: Antonio Robinson Jr. and Amariana Robinson. She is also survived by her siblings Roxanne Babbitt, Joanne Babbitt, and Corde Babbitt. Meronica is preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Babbitt Jr., and her sister, Yvonne Turner (Robert). Though Ronn’e is no longer with us, her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
