Evangelist Minnie Williams entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1936, in Preston, Georgia, to the late Georgia Walker and Bishop James Walker, Sr.
She was a devoted and loving wife to the late Bishop Alpha W. Williams, Sr., serving faithfully in ministry alongside him at Restoration Deliverance Temple in Providence, Rhode Island, formerly known as Williams Evangelistic Church.
A true pillar of both her church and community, Evangelist Williams dedicated her life to meeting the needs of others—both spiritually and physically—through ministry and outreach. Together with her husband, she also owned and operated two convenience stores on the south side of Providence, where they extended kindness and generosity to all who came through their doors. In addition, she became one of Rhode Island’s most influential gospel promoters, bringing nationally renowned gospel artists to the city of Providence and leaving a lasting mark on the region’s faith community.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Priscilla Williams, Elaine Harris, Allen Harris, Philip Sutton, Elliott Williams, and Alpha Williams, Jr., along with a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones.
