OSCAR JOHNSON was Blessed to this Earth on March 25, 1980. He unexpectedly returned home to rest with his spiritual Father on June 3, 2024, After his lifelong battle with Asthma. He was Born unto Elizabeth Johnson and Oscar Mitchell Jr, Oscar (Jay) is the 3rd oldest of 6 siblings Jona Johnson, Loretta Johnson, Tomeka Johnson (late)Junie Johnson and Jacinda Johnson.
He graduated from Central High school (Media & communications) and he continued his education at Rhode College School of Social Work as a Case Manager. Oscar later continued his career in Case management in various social services Fields, throughout Rhode Island and was known for his kind heart, compassion in the community, and his contagious smile. Oscar also balanced Part Time in media and communications as a talented hip hop artist/Actor (Osylum Reign). His music is uplifting and encouraging for people of all ages and can be found on various media platforms including YouTube.
Oscar Johnson was such a loving and kindhearted man; everyone he came in contact with will tell you his smile and his contagious laugh would brighten your day. His pride and Joy is his children. He tried his best to make it to every game, activity program, graduation or school dance, he was devoted to them, supporting them and encouraging them in everything they did physically, mentally and financially. Oscar always tried his best though perfection doesn't exist, he made every effort to be. That’s what counts. What leaves the most pain lingering in our hearts is knowing he won’t be here physically to see all of their accomplishments, but we know he will always be here in spirit cheering them on. Oscar was such a passionate man, everything he put his hands into doing he took pride in.
Oscar Johnson leaves behind to continue his legacy 5 loving children: Akiera Johnson Khamorah Johnson Serenity Johnson Oscar Johnson Jr. And Osiris Johnson. His Parents, Siblings, Aunts, Uncles a host of Nieces,Nephews and Cousins he held dear. May his legacy of love, laughter and music continue to shine in our hearts. He will be deeply missed.
