Osmond Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Osmond Marlon Smith, on December 4, 2024. Marlon was born to Audrey Leslyn Smith and Rawle Tesheira on March 30, 1977. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity.

Marlon is survived by his two sons, Osmond Browne and J-Varney Smith; granddaughter, Isabella Indellicati; and his devoted mother, Audrey Leslyn Smith. He is also survived by his siblings: Bala, Michael, Nadine, Paulette, Kimani, and Tonica, as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Osmond, also known as "Marlon," to many, was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, husband, and true friend. He was a "Mommy's boy" who shared a special bond with his mother.

Marlon had many passions, including working in construction, where he enjoyed building and painting anything he could. His favorite color was blue, and his vibrant personality matched his love for life. Marlon was known for cracking jokes, his beautiful smile always lighting up the room, and being the life of the party. He loved dancing, listening to reggae music, and especially Soca, often pretending to be a DJ and saying, "Run that back!"

Marlon was an exceptional cook with a passion for his favorite foods like fish, cow foot, and okra (which he insisted on adding to everything). He was famous for his fried chicken and proudly held the title of "King of Fried Chicken."

Back home, Marlon enjoyed playing soccer, "kicking's," and watching karate movies, often practicing karate moves on unsuspecting friends and family. He cherished spending time with loved ones whenever he wasn’t working.

Known as a ladies’ man, Marlon admired the beauty of women and had many admirers in return. His hard-working nature earned him the nickname "Hardcore." If you knew Marlon, you knew he didn’t play around, especially when it came to work. He often used his favorite phrases like "Balance yuh self," "Alrighty then," and his all-time favorite, "Everything is everything."

To know Marlon was to love him. He was affectionately called "Hardcore" and "The Original Don Dada." The love he had for his family was undeniable, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

May Osmond "Marlon" Smith rest in heavenly, eternal peace.
