It is with deep sorrow and boundless love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rufina Antonia Dos Reis, who departed this life peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 85; surrounded by her family. 

Rufina was a woman of extraordinary strength and unwavering faith. Her life was a testament to resilience and unconditional love. She devoted herself fully to her family, raising her five daughters with fierce dedication and teaching in every moment, the importance of family above all else.

Her legacy lives on through her five daughters: Manuela Da Luz, Helga Serena, Helena Leite, Carla Leite, and Lelia Leite; her grandchildren Alexander Pinto, Antoine Serena Jr., Isabella Giral, and Sophia Giral; and her sons-in-law Jose Da Luz, Rudy Pinto, Patrick Soares, and Fabio Ferreira. They will carry forward her spirit in their hearts and lives. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, and her memory will remain a guiding light. Though her physical voice is now silent, the echo of her love, her singing, and her laughter will resound forever.

She was a mother, a confidante, a teacher, and a friend cherished by all who knew her. Her home was a haven of warmth, her hands were always busy cooking and feeding others, and her heart was always open.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. A service will be held on Sunday, August 31, at Darlington Mortuary, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Following the service, the family will receive guests at their family home in Pawtucket, RI. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring her life and legacy.
