William Henry Harrell Jr. (Osiris), the first-born son of William Harrell Sr. and Carol Jean Harrell, was born on May 1st, 1961, in Suffolk, Virginia. He passed away surrounded by family on May 25th, 2024.
Osiris graduated from Hope High School and went on to college at CCRI before becoming an active member of the US Army. In 1996, he became active with the Nation of Islam in Providence. He also became an active member of the Parent Leadership Training Institute, where he began petitioning for curriculum changes and more support for students attending Providence schools in underprivileged communities.
Osiris enjoyed life with his wife of 33 years. He enjoyed playing chess, loved to play his music while he cooked, worked out, and his favorite meal was steak & mussels. He loved his friends, reading, and having debates, and educated conversations.
Osiris leaves his family legacy to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Sonia Marie Harrell; daughters, Kieshana Dawkins, Iyona Elizabeth Simas, Zada, and Zaria Harrell, sons, Elijah Harrell and Chris Badessa; four grandchildren, Saint Avianne Harrell, Legacy Pricilla-Ann Dawkins, Eulalie Eleanor Harrell, and Noah Badessa all of Ri.
He is survived by his parents, William Sr. and Carol Jean Harrell; sisters, Phyllis Laverne and Princess Yvonne Ricks; brothers, Christopher and Gregory Harrell; a host of paternal siblings, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited send flowers and attend the honoring of his life on Monday, June 10th, 2024, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Shiloh Gospel Temple, 974 Charles St., North Providence, RI 02904.
