It is with profound grief that we share the news of the passing of our beloved son, Zakaria Saleh, age 29, on October 21, 2025. He has returned to his Creator. May God forgive him and have mercy upon his soul. May his soul find peace in Paradise.
Zakaria (“Zak”) was a devoted and loving son, an inspiring brother, and a loyal friend who brought warmth and creativity to every part of his life. He was exceptionally sharp and intelligent, always eager to learn more. Zak loved the ocean, politics, finance, and cooking. He was employed by National Grid and was a proud graduate of East Providence High School and CCRI.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Zak is survived by his loving family: his father, Abrahim; his mother, Sharon; and his brother, Ali.
Thursday, October 30 – Wake service will be held at Darlington Funeral Home, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Friday, October 31 – A private prayer will be held at the Islamic Center of Providence, along with the Absent Prayer offered by his extended family in Beirut, Malmö, and Düsseldorf.
Saturday, November 1 – At 10:30 a.m., a eulogy will be held at Darlington Funeral Home, followed by a vehicle procession to Union Cemetery in North Smithfield, Rhode Island.
